INTERIOR PAINTING
The rooms you live in every day deserve better than tired, scuffed walls. Our interior painting team delivers crisp lines, smooth finishes and colors you’ll love coming home to.

Interior painting that makes every room feel brand new
Interior painting is about far more than color on a wall. It’s careful furniture protection, patched and sanded surfaces, clean caulk lines and premium low-VOC paints applied by painters who treat your home like their own. From single accent walls to whole-home repaints, we handle walls, ceilings, trim, doors and built-ins.
Charleston interiors have their own challenges — coastal humidity, older plaster in historic homes, and busy family spaces that need durable, washable finishes. We help you choose the right sheen and product for every room, so your kitchen holds up to steam, your bathrooms resist mildew, and your living spaces stay beautiful for years.
Need more than paint? We’re a full restoration company — drywall repair, carpentry and cabinet refinishing can all be rolled into one seamless project with one crew you can trust. Proudly serving Charleston, Mount Pleasant, Summerville, North Charleston, Goose Creek, James Island, Johns Island, Daniel Island and the surrounding Lowcountry.
Our process
- Walkthrough & free estimate. we look at every room together, talk colors and sheens, and leave you a written, itemized quote.
- Protection. floors, furniture, fixtures and hardware are covered or masked before any prep begins.
- Prep. nail holes patched, cracks repaired, surfaces sanded and spot-primed, every gap re-caulked — the step that separates a 1st Class finish from a quick coat.
- Paint. cut lines by hand, roll or spray for uniform coverage, with premium low-VOC products suited to each room.
- Walkthrough & touch-up. you inspect with us, we touch up anything you flag, and we don’t call it done until you do.
- Spotless cleanup. furniture back, floors clean, zero evidence we were there except the paint.
What affects the cost
- How many rooms and how tall the ceilings are
- Condition of the walls — patching, crack repair and heavy prep add time
- Trim, doors, built-ins and ceilings add detail work beyond the walls
- Color changes (dark to light or light to dark) can need an extra coat
- Occupied vs. empty rooms — moving and protecting furniture takes care and time
Every project gets a written, itemized estimate up front — free, with no obligation — so you know exactly what you’re paying for before we open a single can of paint.
How long does it take?
A single bedroom is usually a one-day job; a typical whole-home interior runs several days depending on prep and the number of rooms. You’ll get a specific schedule with your estimate, and we stick to it.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to move my furniture before you arrive?
No — we move and cover furniture as part of every interior project, and put it all back when we’re done.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. 1st Class Painting & Restoration is fully licensed and insured, and we’re happy to provide documentation with your estimate.
Do you use low-odor paint? Can we stay home during the work?
We use premium low-VOC paints, and most families stay home comfortably throughout an interior project. Rooms are typically back in service the same day they’re painted.
Can you fix damaged drywall before painting?
Absolutely — drywall repair is one of our core services, so patches, cracks and water damage get fixed properly and painted over seamlessly in one project.
